The Moderators of CPO

The Moderators of CPO

On the CPO Discord Server if you are not already aware. There are roles that are given to the most prestigious members. I asked Megs how she would define the word moderator as it is used in the CPO Discord. She said, "Well, being a Moderator on Discord means that we are here to answer any questions our members have, to guide them to the correct channels to speak, suggest, etc., and to make sure that our members have fun and follow the rules that we have in place. It’s our job to ensure that everyone is remaining safe and having fun, as well as getting what they need." When asked "can you tell me more about the day-to-day responsibilities of this job?" Megs responded with, "We are on as much as we all can be, so we handle the reports that we receive from our members. We do chat with our members and hang out with them, so we get to watch the chat and if someone breaks a rule we have, we handle the situation accordingly." Some people want to know how they could become a moderator. When asked this question megs said, "Communication skills are the main key, as well as kindness. A combination of both make a great team member, which all of our staff have an excellent combination of both. It’s important to be able to be kind to our users, and to be able to communicate effectively with them as well." As well as having many responsibilities moderators have many long term expectations. When asked what the long term expectations were Megs responded with, "Well, the first month is new. You get the hang of being able to handle users who break the rules, and you definitely ask a lot of questions to be sure. The next couple months you get the hang of it and are asking less questions to the staff. I’ve been staff since August, so I can’t answer to the year just yet, but as each month passes, it’s easier to be able to do my job effectively and to be able to help members more. We are expected to be helpful and kind, as well as have our communication skills. We continue to improve on our skills each day." For the next moderator we will interviewing Chloe about different questions. I asked Chloe what being a moderator was like and she responded with "It's really awesome, getting to keep the CPO community safe every day is pretty rewarding in it self. Keeping all the rule breakers out of the community, and help other users out one of the best things about it. I love being a Moderator for CPO and wouldn't trade it for anything. It's one of the best things like i said getting to help the community out and keep all of our members safe it's really rewarding." Both moderators love being a moderator but I decided to ask Chloe to elaborate on this topic and explain why she likes it so much. She said, "I love how I get to keep this community safe, and I love setting a good example for our users." I thank both Megs and Chloe for taking time out of there day to let me ask them question. The next post will probably be asking the admins questions or the different roles of the CPO Discord Server.

POTW KevinPen

Penguin of The Week KevinPen This week Club Penguin Times has chosen KevinPen as out POTW, or penguin of the week. Kevin was the obvious choice because KevinPen was the first member of CPT, or Club Penguin Times. Kevin is a ultra mega donor which means he donated to CPT in the past and has been awarded with a special tag. Kevin is also tagged as a Card Jitsu Trainee because he is in the process of becoming a black-belt in Cardjistu. Kevin has been with us since the beginning of CPT. And we thank him dearly for his honorable work he has done for us. So can we get a round of applause for KevinPen. He is and OG and deserves it.

THE PIZZA PARLOUR RATINGS!

Penguins get hungry. So do other species, but we're focusing on our own. So basically we rated the Pizza Parlour today! It seems to have improved, no longer being a pizza-eating contest. I finally got to sit down and order, trying to buy all the pizzas, tasting every one determining which one I like best. Turns out I liked all of them.
